I’m an Associate Product Security Engineer at Red Hat, focusing on proactively securing complex open-source systems. Most of my work is internal platform tooling development and open source enablement. I hold a B.S. in Computer Engineering from NC State University, and bring a deep background in microarchitecture and embedded systems to my work across the open-source ecosystem.
As an active contributor to several projects and Working Groups within the OpenSSF, I’m passionate about pragmatic development and using automation to enhance security workflows. I’m the Community Manager for the OpenSSF Gemara Project and excel at making technical concepts digestible for all audiences.
I’m also part of the inagural cohort of OpenSSF Ambassadors. Bringing my passions about technical evangelism and engaging across open source communities. I believe in developer advocacy and making highly technical concepts available through storytelling and enablement.
Representation in multilingual datasets for large language models. Specifically, the opportunity for refinement and more nuanced depiction of the languages they serve. I’m interested at the most granular level and want to learn how large language models could benefit from existing frameworks in the field of linguistics.
Particularly interesting work by Professor John McCarthy of Standford University on What AI Needs From Computational Linguistics.
Outside of my work, I adore traveling, hiking, and exploring art exhibitions. I’m particularly drawn to National Parks and their relationship to impressionism.
